Where does the information come from?
You: information is 100% shared and rated by people like you. Information is based on your previous experiences with service providers.

Why are there only certain categories?
We’ve decided to focus on the most common services to get started and plan to expand as the service grows. If you have new category ideas, please Contact Us and we'll look into it.

Why should I share a price?
To empower yourself and others to make better purchasing decisions. The more everyone shares (including you), the more information there will be to help everyone who visits the site.

When I use the search or browse function, the results show me a MePrice. What does that mean?
The MePrice is our estimate of the market rate for the service you are looking for in your area. We use complex logic to comb through all of the data to provide you with this information. The MePrice allows you to gain a pulse on the price rather than having to read all of the shares yourself.
The more filters you apply to the search, the more accurate the “MePrice” will be.

What is the location set for me used for?
The location is used to help find shared pricing information that is closest to you. This is also the default location when you are sharing information.

How do you determine my location and how can I change it?
You location is set by default based on where you are coming from to the website. Your location can easily be changed by entering your zip code in the header and pressing the Save button.

What if there is no data for my area?
The service is still young. If you don’t see data in your area, you will still be able to retrieve it from other locations. This will still give you a general idea on how much the desired service should cost.

When you are looking for information, we first search for entries in your area. If none are available, we keep expanding our search to find entries that are closest to you.

How do I request a new category or subcategory?

Do I have to register to share my price?
Yes, in order to prevent automatic bots or random price submission, we request that you register before sharing a price. Registration is quick, and your shared information will get feedback from other registered members. That means giving accurate pricing and detailed information about the transactions you are sharing is important.

What are you going to do with my e-mail address if I register?
Nothing. We have a strict privacy policy and will never sell or give away your e-mail address.

How do I edit information I submitted?
On the page which displays your shared information, there will be an edit link.

If I see a price share that I know to be completely wrong, what should I do?
In that case Contact Us and we'll look into it. Please provide as much information about the share as possible and why you think it is completely wrong.

What is the Top MePrice section on the Home Page?
This is a feature that is coming soon. Once we collect more data, we’ll be able to provide you with the most popular categories and the MePrice for those categories in your area
